Overview

CookFlow is a recipe organization and guided cooking app developed by CHRISTOPHER NELSON BARLOW. We designed it to keep your personal cooking data local whenever possible.

Information we process

When you use AI-powered imports or recipe generation, CookFlow may send recipe text, recipe photos, screenshots, OCR text, recipe URLs, and your recipe request to our backend so the service can produce structured recipe information. During profile setup, we process your chosen display name, username, and friend code.

Saved recipes, grocery lists, cooking sessions, notes, timers, and progress are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share or export them.

How information is used

Information is used to provide recipe extraction, recipe generation, profile setup, and friend-invite features. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Uploaded recipe content is processed to fulfill your request and is not intentionally retained by our backend.

Third parties

AI requests are sent to service providers that help us process recipe content. Network connections use standard HTTPS encryption. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

Your choices

You can avoid AI imports, delete local CookFlow data from Settings, and choose whether to share recipes or friend cards. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact dukesbarlow.web@gmail.com.
